Men Who Cheat on Their Wives Are Having a Rough Few Weeks

It started with Ime Udoka, the Boston Celtics head coach who was allegedly having an inappropriate relationship with a staffer while he was engaged to actress Nia Long. Then came allegations that Maroon 5 lead singer Adam Levine was sexting with women other than his pregnant wife Behati Prinsloo (Levine has admitted that he “crossed a line,” but denies cheating).

Then earlier this week, the strangest “celebrity” “cheating” scandal yet. Ned Fulmer, of the popular YouTube group Try Guys, stands accused of cheating on his wife and collaborator Ariel Fulmer with producer Alex Herring. While the Try Guys aren’t exactly huge, this was a very big deal to their fans and the allegations sent shockwaves hither and yon online, where Fulmer has built a reputation as a loving and doting husband.

All in all, not a great week for men looking to step out on their committed relationships. Of course, there is never exactly a good time to cheat on your wife, but this recent era of men getting caught is a reminder of just how easy it is for your sin to find you out in the internet era. Screenshots, search histories and archived text threads have been ruinous to many a stray husband, and while the internet may provide such men with more opportunities to cheat on their wives, it also increases the number of ways they can get caught. All in all, don’t get it twisted: Cheating does not pay. Ever.
