In what is either a very strange coincidence or a very weird easter egg, promotional materials for Bryan Singer’s X-Men: Days of Future Past feature a pastor named Bob Bell, which ought to sound familiar.
The material comes from an X-Men site called 25 Moments, which purports to show pivotal events in humanity’s history with mutants. Among these moments is Pastor Bob Bell and what we talk about when we talk about X-Men. The site doesn’t paint him in a particularly flattering light, casting him as a televangelist with a group called “The Human Majority,” who believe that mutants are God’s curse on humanity. Womp, womp. It’s not clear whether or not the pastor actually appears in the real movie and, in any case, the whole thing could be a coincidence.
