Drafting Your Team From Church History

Last night I went out with one of my staff members for a few hours. We had an incredible night of conversation. Today I went to lunch with another person from our staff and then to the park with my two kids. We laughed a lot, dreamed a little and found great joy in the company of my two little people. I have known what it is like to drive to work and dread the people that I do ministry with. But today is a different day. I’m so very blessed and grateful for the team that God has assembled for this season of ministry.

Choosing the right team is a significant part of being strategic. The kind of team you put together says a lot about the kind of leader you are and the specific things that you value. Some of us are working with people that we love and believe in while others of us are not.

So with that in mind, let’s play a little game…

If you had 3 draft picks to select church leaders [dead or alive/famous or unknown] to work with on your church staff, who would you draft and why?
