Pope Benedict XVI is meeting with Jewish groups to help repair the damage done by reinstating bishops who denied the Holocaust. The Church has since distanced itself from the bishops. The Pope will be meeting with the Conference of Presidents of Major American Jewish Organizations. Malcolm Hoenlein, the executive vice chairman of the Conference, said, “It’s in our interest to have good relations with the Vatican, but not at any price.”
