The study, conducted by the University of British Columbia, found that while spirituality did increase childhood happiness, religiosity had no measurable effect. Researchers involved in the study believe that the sense of purpose brought about by spirituality enhanced children’s happiness. They also suggested that parents urge children to complete acts of kindness and engage in volunteer work to bring meaning and happiness to their lives.
