Google, the frighteningly dominant search engine, has launched a school of spiritual growth as an arm of its in-house university. The school is intended to serve Google’s employees, and was the brainchild of engineer Chade-Meng Tan. Tan, a Buddhist, explained the company’s motives behind the move, saying, “Google wants to help Googlers grow as human beings on all levels. Emotional, mental, physical and ‘beyond the self’. We don’t just pamper Googlers, we want to help them fulfill their full human potential.” One more way Google is quietly working its way toward global domination.
