Massachusetts congressman Barney Frank, the longest-serving openly-gay member of congress, has criticized President-elect Barack Obama’s choice to have Pastor Rick Warren deliver the invocation at Obama’s inauguration. Frank was critical over Warren’s support of California’s Proposition 8, illegalizing gay marriage. Frank also brought up comments Warren made comparing gay marriage to incest. “Being singled out to give the prayer at the inauguration is a high honor. It has traditionally given as a mark of great respect. And, yes, I think it was wrong to single him out for this mark of respect,” Frank said.
