On the eve of Mayor Bloomberg’s giant sugary drink ban, New York Supreme Court Judge Milton Tingling put his boot down and blocked the law, saying the new regulations are “fraught with arbitrary and capricious consequences.” These laws—forbidding the sale of sugary sodas in cups bigger than 16 ounces, save for in a few instances—were set to land at midnight tonight but, with Judge Tingling’s intervention, New Yorkers are free to go drink a gallon of melted frosting if they like, at least until Bloomberg and Tingling sort out their differences …
