Over the weekend, two U.S. special forces units took part in raids, targeting leaders of known terror groups. In Libya, an Army Delta Force unit captured al Qeada operative Abu Anas al Libi—a wanted terrorist believed to be behind the bombings of two U.S. embassies. In Somalia, a team of Navy SEALs descended on a compound they believe housed an Al-Shabaab leader named Ikrima. Al-Shabaab is behind numerous global terror attacks, including a horrific siege of an upscale mall in Kenya, in which victims were systematically executed. After a prolonged firefight, the SEAL team was forced to abort the mission. It is not known if Ikrima was killed in the predawn raid.
