U.S. and Russia Agree on Handover of Syrian Chemical Weapons

Officials from the United States and Russia have agreed on the terms of an agreement to enforce Syria’s handover of its chemical weapons stockpile. The deal requires the government of Bashar Assad to give all of its military’s chemical weapons arsenal to the overseers in the international community, who will ensure that the stockpile is destroyed.
