A toy designer is hoping that a new Barbie-style doll named “Lammily” will redefine how little girls think about body image. Unlike Mattel’s unrealistically thin Barbie, designer Nickolay Lamm used data from the U.S. Centers for Disease Control to find the average body size of an American 19-year-old to create the dimensions of the toy. A crowdfunding campaign for the new doll, whose motto is “Average Is Beautiful” has already surpassed its goal, meaning Lammily will likely be going into production very soon …
