Terrorist Bombing Kills at Least 71 in Nigeria

According to the AP, at least 71 people were killed and more than 124 were injured this morning when a bomb exploded near a bus station in Abuja, the capital of Nigeria. The country’s president, Goodluck Jonathan, has said that the attack is the work of the Islamic extremist group Boko Haram. The terrorist group, whose name means “Western education is forbidden,” is responsible for thousands of deaths in the northeast region of the country in frequent bombings, shootings and attacks on Christian schools
