Royal Dutch Airlines is probably on the hunt for a new social media manager after tweeting a pretty offensive picture following Mexico’s heartbreaking loss to Netherlands in the Round of 16. It was a cause for Dutch celebration, but the airline’s response was downright cruel, tweeting “Adios Amigos! #NEDMEX” with a photo of a departure gate and a drawing of a man wearing a sombrero. Fans responded with outrage, calling out the distinctly racial tones of the burn.
