Protest Camps Erupt into Violence in Egypt

Two previously-peaceful protest camps have erupted into violence in Egypt, and though reports coming from the region are still unclear, many are dead and wounded. The violence began when military security forces stormed the camps that were occupied with protestors who support recently-ousted President Mohamed Morsi of the Muslim Brotherhood party. The military officials—who according to some reports also fired machine guns into the crowds—began bulldozing tents, turning the makeshift camps into a war zone. Muslim Brotherhood representatives claim that 200 Morsi supporters have been killed, but The Health Ministry says only 15 protestors and five security officials have died in the violence.
