America has a new “Most Bible-Minded City” and for the first time in three years, it’s not in the state of Tennessee. The American Bible Society has said that the new No. 1 spot on their annual list now belongs to Birmingham, Alabama, based on how residents in the city answered surveys from Barna Group about their religious beliefs and personal Bible-reading habits. Mostly small cities from the Bible Belt made up the top 10 list, with only one of America’s top 25 media markets (Charlotte) being named one of the most Bible-Minded.
