According to scientists, at one point, Mars was so Earth-like that it was home to drinkable water. NASA’s Curiosity rover recently uncovered evidence of an ancient fresh water lake that is leading to new speculation that the Red Planet could have once supported forms of life. One of the scientists working on the rover project told The Washington Post, “Previous results from Spirit and Opportunity [Mars missions] pointed to very acidic water, but what we’re seeing in Gale Crater is evidence of fresh water.
