The state of Mississippi has decided to ratify the 13th Amendment to the U.S. Constitution, meaning slavery is now illegal within its borders. Because, why not? Everyone else is doing it. The movement was brought up when University of Mississippi professor Ranjan Batra and anatomical material specialist Ken Sullivan got inspired by Lincoln to do some digging and found, what do you know, their state had never officially bought into the whole anti-slavery thing.
