At Least 65 Are Dead After Crane Collapses at Mecca Mosque

Tragedy has just struck one of Islam’s most significant religious sites. According to reports, at least 65 people are dead and more than 150 have been injured after a construction crane collapsed on top of the Masjid al-Haram mosque at Mecca. The area attracts millions of Muslims each year, especially during the Hajj pilgrimage which starts next month. Masjid al-Haram is the largest mosque in the world.
