The Hubble Space Telescope Has Captured the Birth of a Star

NASA has released this breathtaking image of an infant star still “cloaked in a haze of golden gas and dust” from its violent birth. As this story on The Huffington Post explains, “Stars are born when a gas cloud collapses under its own gravitational pull to form a hot core. But sometimes not all of the material winds up within the star, as seen in the image.” We would also like to add our analysis of the spectacular image: Wouldn’t that make an awesome black-light poster or look really rad airbrushed on the side of a van? …
