Here’s How You Can Help Aleppo Right Now

The battle for Aleppo is over, and it left the Syrian city completely devastated.

As of this morning, artillery “shelling” continued which is delaying the evacuation of millions. More details about the state of the city are rolling in every hour, but what we do know is that people there are facing what experts are calling one of the greatest humanitarian crisis of this generation. And people, especially Christians, can’t ignore it.

Here are 4 organizations doing work in Aleppo worth supporting.

###Preemptive Love

The Iraq-based organization is focusing their work on helping families fleeing violence in Aleppo. Check out this update from Preemptive Love’s founder, Jeremy Courtney:

###World Vision

World Vision, the largest faith-based charity in the world has been helping refugees from Syria for a long time, with a special emphasis on children and food. On their site, they posted this chilling statement: “the situation in Aleppo city is the most dire they have ever seen it. World Food Program food aid has completely run out for about 250,000 people trapped in besieged eastern Aleppo.”

###World Relief

World Relief is another organization doing impressive work in and around Aleppo. Their work centers around “providing non-temporary shelters, hygiene items, and trauma therapy to displaced Syrian and Iraqi refugee families, as well as sponsoring child-friendly spaces for mothers and children,” according to their website.

If you haven’t heard about them yet, the White Helmets represent one of the most inspiring developments of the year. The chilling Netflix documentary, White Helmets, tells their story. Check out the trailer:
