The ‘Hamilton’ Craze Just Peaked: A Zoo Named Its New Baby Camel ‘Alexander Camelton’

First came the news that Lin-Manuel Miranda would be leaving the mega-hit Broadway musical he masterminded in July. Then came word that tickets are going for as high as $10,000 (!?) Now, thanks to the Chicago’s Lincoln Park Zoo, this whole Hamilton thing may have just peaked.

Officials at the zoo announced over the weekend that a new baby camel would be named “Alexander Camelton.” It’s over everyone. The musical, the history lessons, the cultural craze was a lot fun, but this is just too far.
