Fallon Reaches Out to Leno Amidst Late Night Shake-Up Drama

As the late night drama at NBC gets increasingly testy (with Leno calling executives “snakes” and saying the network is now “extinct”), Jimmy Fallon is taking the high road. Fallon, who is rumored to be taking Leno’s spot as the host of the Tonight Show in 2013, reportedly called his fellow late night host to try and smooth things over. According to insiders at NBC, the network plans on revamping the legendary 11:35 talk show next year, installing Fallon as the new host and moving its studios from L.A. to New York. But, as Conon O’Brien recently found out the hard way, Leno isn’t one to just put on his denim shirt and quietly ride a modified hot rod into the sunset.
