Entenmann’s and the Salvation Army Unite to Make National Donut Day Even More Awesome

On Friday, June 7, the world comes together to pay tribute to one of mankind’s great culinary achievements: the donut. National Donut Day was first established by the Salvation Army 76 years ago during World War I to honor the brave individuals who served donuts to soldiers and to raise awareness about the organization’s social programs throughout the Great Depression.

This year, Entenmann’s—the maker of delicious baked goods, which of course include a variety of types of donuts—is teaming with the Salvation Army to remember the altruistic legacy of the holiday. For every “Like” the company receives to its Facebook page through June 15, they will donate $1 to the organization (up to $30,000). There, you can also enter to win the “Free Donuts for a Year” contest.
