As many as 92 families may have been in an unfinished apartment building when it collapsed in Pyongyang, North Korea, a South Korean news agency has reported. In an extremely rare move, the government of North Korea actually apologized during a report on their state-run news outlet, admitting that construction “was not done properly and officials supervised and controlled it in an irresponsible manner.” According to CNN, it is not uncommon for families to move in to buildings before the structure is actually finished being built. At this point, the number of casualties is unknown. In the report from the North Korean news agency, officials said that dictator Kim Jong Un, “sat up all night, feeling painful after being told about the accident,” and said that the government would aid the families of the victims.
