Florida is home to many strange tales, but a story is emerging over the case of Timothy Dale Poole that might charitably be described as “upsetting.” Poole spent three years in jail for the sexual battery of a 9-year-old boy, and how he has won 3 million actual, real dollars in the Florida Lottery. He was arrested in 1999 following allegations that he had forced the 9-year-old son of some family friends to perform sexual acts on him. Poole denied the allegations, and eventually took a plea deal for only 13 months in jail.
