Officials in China have reportedly killed more than 20,000 birds at a poultry trading market while concerns about the rise of a new strain of bird flu continue to grow. Six people have now been killed by the avian flu in the country. Authorities have begun to close other agricultural markets in an effort to prevent the spread of the deadly virus in China. Medical labs in the U.S. are currently working on creating a new vaccine for the H7N9 virus while the Center for Disease Control works with Chinese officials to try to find the source of the outbreak.
