Tokyo’s leading cat scientists have determined that cats really do recognize and respond to their owners’ voices, they just have a really weird way of showing their affection. By looking at pupil dilation, ear twitching, small head movements and other indicators of cat emotions, the feline-feeling researchers found cats do get really excited around their owners, yet they choose to express it in extremely subtle, essentially imperceptible ways.
