An 8-year-old boy named Hüseyin el-Hasan in Kilis, Turkey just exemplified a powerful display of compassion by attempting to rescue a dog who had unfortunately been the victim of a hit-and run. Hüseyin’s family just relocated from Syria as war refugees.
When Hüseyin saw a dog laying on the side of the road, not only did he decide to call for help but he also stayed by the pup’s side until it could be given proper care. In fact, the only time Hüseyin left was when he ran home to get the trembling dog a blanket.
Unfortunately, the dog didn’t make it, but Hüseyin el-Hasan’s kind and brave actions didn’t go unnoticed. On top of receiving local recognition, the Deputy Mayor, Cuma Özdemir, also paid him a visit and gifted him with a new blanket, clothes and food.
