Xbox Studios Is Creating a TV Series Based on the Life of Nas

Xbox is getting into the streaming TV business with a new series loosely based on the life of hip-hop star Nas called Street Dreams. According to Deadline, the half-hour show “is set in the 1990s in Long Island’s Queensbridge housing complex, where Nas grew up, and takes a look at music, family and trials and tribulations of the rap game.” Though Nas is contributing music to the show and will help write it, filmmaker Jonathan Levine will be the creative force behind the series.
