
Jeralean Talley, the oldest known person in the world, died at her home in Inkster, Michigan today at the age of 116. Talley was in the hospital for a week before being brought home, where she “went away peacefully,” according to her daughter. Talley was born in Georgia in 1899 and moved to Michigan in the 1930s. She was a member of the New Jerusalem Missionary Baptist Church in Inkster, and when asked the secret to her long life, she would credit God and her active lifestyle …
