Will Ferrell and long-time collaborator Adam McKay are behind a new mini-series set to air on IFC, epically titled The Spoils of Babylon. The six-part “event series” is a spoof of the historical novel adaptations that were once a staple of primetime entertainment. In addition to Ferrell, the “century-spanning saga” will also feature appearances by some other big-name stars. Tobey Maguire, Jessica Alba, Kristin Wiig, Val Kilmer, Tim Robbins and Haley Joel Osment are all set to appear in the “mercurial potboiler” so intense “it begins to overflow with boiling liquid in a pot on a hot stove that is operational” …
