Welcome to Twitter, Shirley Temple

Shirley Temple—who is not only alive, but served as the United States ambassador to Czechoslovakia under President George H.W. Bush—joined Twitter this morning. It’s sort of notable, in that Shirley Temple is one of those people who’s so iconic you almost forget they’re actual people. This actual person, Shirley Temple, has so far chatted with her old pal Dick Van Dyke and has been asked what she thinks of our generation’s Shirley Temple, Honey Boo Boo. (Sorry.
