Watch the Moving Prayer from Virginia Tech’s Coach After Losing in the NCAA Tournament

Recently, the Virginia Tech basketball team lost to Duke University in a heartbreaking 75-73 thriller in the NCAA tournament.

Now, footage from the locker room after the game has emerged.

In the tape, Virginia Tech head coach Buzz Williams prays over the team and individual players, not only asking God to comfort them following the loss, but also bless them in their lives ahead.

Before praying over each of his three seniors, Williams opens the prayer by saying, “God, you say in the Bible that when we don’t know what to say, you understand our heart,” but closes by encouraging the players, telling them, “Your character will always win. I love you. In Jesus’ name, Amen.”

It’s a moving watch.
