Louisiana’s Angola State Prison is the nation’s largest maximum-security facility, housing 6,300 inmates. Recently, they got a special visitor: singer Lauren Daigle.
Daigle partnered with the prison for Giving Tuesday, and raised $17,000 so inmates could make phone calls to their families at Christmas, as well as for clothing for the inmates. As her team explained in a message to contributors on YouTube, “Your generosity will provide more than 70,000 minutes of connection to friends, family and loved ones.”
Daigle also performed and ministered to the inmates. You can watch highlights from the visit in the video below:
