The past year has seen Kacey Musgraves become one of the biggest crossover stars in music. Her album Golden Hour is decidedly country, but it has some enthralling psychedelic vibes and beautiful notes of folk and pop. Musgraves’ unique blend of styles was on full display at Coachella last weekend.
The star’s performance of “Slow Burn” is the kind of Coachella rendition we like to see: laid back, sunny, perfect for those California desert vibes.
Coachella has had longer legs than usual this year, with the arrival of Beyonce’s Netflix film this week about her 2018 performance and the release of her corresponding live album. There’s also been extended conversation about Ariana Grande’s star-studded blowout at the festival, with that pop star making a case for biggest name in music.
