Good Omens is a book about the apocalypse, but more in the biblical sense than the “world on fire” sense. You see, in the book, the Antichrist is about to be born and the End Times are about to begin, but an angel and a demon are hanging out and enjoying their time on Earth, so they set about to sabotage the Antichrist’s upbringing. Sound like fun? It sure is.
The book, from Terry Pratchett and Neil Gaiman, is being adapted into a show for Amazon. It looks bouncy and screwball and just the right amounts of zany and dark.
The trailer for the show features angel Aziraphale and demon Crowley, but it fails to reveal much about the book’s other main characters, namely Adam the Antichrist and the Four Horsemen of the Apocalypse. We’ll have more details about those faces soon, no doubt, as Good Omens won’t debut until early next year.
