Virgin Airlines to Offer Live, In-Flight Music and Stand-up Comedy

Tired of browsing through the latest issue of SkyMall or playing Candy Crush on your iPhone while stuck on an airplane? Virgin Airline founder Richard Branson has just the solution for you. He’s announced that starting later this year, passengers in the U.K. will be treated to live, in-flight comedy performances from comedians traveling to the Edinburgh Fringe Festival. The airline’s “Little Red flights” will also pay tribute to the area’s music scene by featuring on-board performances by local bands. It’s not the first time Virgin has attempted to introduce a little culture to the flying experience.
