A ‘Tribute to Wes Anderson’ Album Is Coming

Freelance Whales, Telekinesis and Juliana Hatfield are among the artists contributing tracks to the upcoming compilation album I Saved Latin: A Tribute to Wes Anderson. The two-disc set will feature current bands covering tracks used in films like Rushmore (where the album gets its name), The Royal Tenenbaums, Moonrise Kingdom and other Anderson films, from artists including Elliott Smith, David Bowie, Nick Drake and The Rolling Stones. And, if you pre-order the album, you can also get a cool buddle that includes a Team Zissou beanie, buttons featuring classic scenes from the films, a Khaki Scout badge, a Max Fischer business card and other movie-themed gifts that any Wes Anderson fan would be pretty geeked out over.
