Tina Fey is set to star in the film adaptation of the book The Taliban Shuffle. The memoir tells the story of war journalist Kim Barker, who covers the on-going conflicts in Pakistan and Afghanistan in the early 2000s. Even though the book has some serious undertones, the movie—which is being penned by 30 Rock writer Robert Carlock—will likely carry a lighthearted tone. As Vulture notes, ironically, in the New York Times 2011 review of the book, they noticed that, “[Barker] depicts herself as a sort of Tina Fey character, who unexpectedly finds herself addicted to the adrenaline rush of war” …
