Out of nowhere, this week has seen a blitz of marketing for the upcoming LEGO Movie sequel: The LEGO Movie 2: The Second Part (clever). Now, a new trailer’s out, and it’s legit funny.
From what we gather, most of the original gang is back, from Chris Pratt’s Emmet to Elizabeth Banks’ Wyldstyle to Alison Brie’s Unikitty to Will Arnett’s Batman. The heroes live in a desolated wasteland (thanks to the events of Taco Tuesday), only for things to become much, much worse when intergalactic invaders (cue the Beastie Boys!) show up in the form of LEGO DUPLO toys.
This one’s going to be … awesome. Only problem: We have to wait until February for it to hit theaters.
