Now that the “Discovery” Channel has ruined Shark Week forever by intentionally deceiving loyal viewers with a fake documentary about an extinct Megalodon shark, it was only a matter of time before another network stepped up to filled the void. That network is SyFy. From July 26 through August 2, SyFy will debut “Sharknado Week”, an entire week of over-the-top B-movie titles (like Sharktopus vs. Pteracuda and Mega Shark vs. Mecha Shark) culminating with the premiere of Sharknado 2: The Second One. If Discovery Channel is just going to go ahead and show science-fiction “documentaries” instead of actual programs about sharks, why not just embrace the whole monster shark thing?
