Unlike all of us, Adams can’t contain his Swifting to car rides. Earlier today, rocker he revealed via Instagram that he is working on a cover album of Taylor’s 1989. Adams shared a picture of lyrics to the song “Welcome to New York” with the caption, “guaranteed saddest version of ‘Welcome to New York’ ever—or your tears back.” A little later, he posted a picture of “Blank Space” lyrics, noting that his cover would have a “deep end Smiths vibe.” When T-Swift caught wind of the news, she was ecstatic. “I will pass out,” she tweeted at first, then, “I’m not gonna be able to sleep tonight or ever again, and I’m going to celebrate today every year as a holiday.” Adams then shared a short clip of his “Welcome to New York” cover. We’re glad they shared this moment with us.
