‘Normal Barbie’ Features Realistic Body Size, Acne and Cellulite

You can soon own a “normal Barbie” toy that not only features an average body size, but will also include the option of stickers so that the toys can be modified to be even more realistic with acne, cellulite, scars, bandages, freckles and stretch marks. The maker of the “Lammily” doll used the proportions of the average sized 19-year-old woman to create the toy that would serve as an alternative to physically unrealistic Barbie dolls. Last year, the Lammily’s maker ran a successful crowdsourcing campaign to bring the idea to market, and now the company is accepting their first pre-orders. Creator Nikolay Lamm told Yahoo, “When Lammily was initially launched through crowdfunding, I read a lot of comments which suggested that nobody wants toys that are based on reality, that kids want fantasy. With these stickers I’m trying my best to show that in the toy world, real life is cool. Yes, it has its ups and downs, it’s not perfect, but it’s all we have, and it’s awesome!” …
