According to ScreenDaily, the follow-up to 2012’s controversial Spring Breakers (titled “Second Coming”), will be about conservative Christians butting heads with college-aged party animals. According to the site, in the upcoming movie—which was penned by acclaimed Trainspotting author Irvine Welsh—“the Spring Breakers do battle with an extreme militant Christian sect that attempts to convert them.” Though it’s unconfirmed whether the original cast will make appearances, at the very least “there are allusions to some of the characters in the original.” The movie will make its debut at the Cannes film festival …
