Following the massive success of the Serial podcast, millions of listeners have wondered what will become of Adnan Syed. Now, a new podcast hopes to provide even more answers about Syed’s legal case (he is currently appealing) and the murder of his then 17-year-old girlfriend Hai Min Lee. Syed was convicted of the murder and currently in prison.
The Adnan Syed Legal Trust has raised $93,000 from supporters and is sponsoring the new podcast Undisclosed: the State v. Adnan Syed, which promises to “examine and explore the case in greater detail, from an investigatory perspective instead of a narrative one.” The Serial podcast (which is not affiliated with Undisclosed) opened up new questions about the 16-year-old murder case and how police handled the investigation, but it will be covering an entirely new case when it comes back for the second season.
