It looks like another big-budget biblical epic is on the way. Timur Bekmambetov, the director behind the action spectacles Wanted and Abraham Lincoln: Vampire Hunter, is rumored to be at the helm of a new adaptation of the 1880 novel Ben-Hur: A Tale of the Christ. The novel (which was famously adapted for the big screen with Charlton Heston in 1959), was one of the most popular works of fiction ever written when it was first released, and tells the story of a Jewish Prince who encounters Christ in the 1st century Roman Empire.
