The National’s newest album is going to be a whole thing, featuring not just a new collection of songs but an Alicia Vikander-starring short film from Mike Mills, the Oscar-nominated filmmaker behind movies like 20th Century Women and Beginners.
The album is called I Am Easy To Find and we’ve got our first single, “You Had Your Soul With You” and a trailer for the short film of the same name. Let’s take a look at the trailer first, and then get to the album details
The new single features an assist from Gail Ann Dorsey, who was in David Bowie’s band. The album will also feature guest vocals from Sharon Van Etten, Lisa Hannigan, Mina Tindle, Kate Stables and the Brooklyn Youth Choir.
