As we ease into the back half of September, it’s hard not to start thinking about the fall. Big cardigans, crunchy leaves, apple cider, Fleet Foxes albums …no pandemic can keep you from enjoying any of these things. In fact, you’ll have an excess of the latter: a surprise new Fleet Foxes album is dropping on Wednesday, September 22, making the official beginning of fall. Shore will arrive three years after the Fleet Foxes’ The Crack-Up, which is a comparative brief interlude between albums for this band (there were six years between The Crack-Up and Helplessness Blues). Shore will also have a short film accompaniment, directed by Kersti Jan Werdal.
It’s all happening at 9:31 AM EST, so set your watches, folks. Fall is almost here.
