After announcing the reunion last month, HBO has given fans a sneak peek at the upcoming Harry Potter reunion special.
In the teaser, numerous cast members receive owls inviting them to celebrate the 20th anniversary of the Harry Potter movie series. And it looks like nearly everyone is coming back. Of course, it wouldn’t be a true Harry Potter reunion without the Big Three: Daniel Radcliffe, Rupert Grint and Emma Watson. Joining the trio are Helena Bonham Carter (Bellatrix Lestrange), Robbie Coltrane (Ruebes Hagrid), Ralph Fiennes (He Who Shall Not Be Named), Jason Isaacs (Lucius Malfoy), Gary Oldman (Sirius Black), Tom Felton (Draco Malfoy), Bonnie Wright (Ginny Weasley), Matthew Lewis (Neville Longbottom) and so many more of our favorite wizards and witches.
Unfortunately not all will return to Hogwarts, as beloved actors like Alan Rickman (Severus Snape) and Helen McCrory (Narcissa Malfoy) have passed on since the series ended. There’s also no word on whether Harry Potter creator J.K. Rowling, who has had a bit of controversy surrounding some of her views in recent years, will be in attendance.
The reunion special which will premiere on HBO Max on January 1, 2022. Not a bad way to kick off the new year.
