You Might Cry Watching Ellen Tell the Yodeling Walmart Kid That He’s Going to Perform at the Grand Ole Opry

A boy by the name of Mason Ramsey recently shot to internet fame when a video of him singing Hank Williams’ “Lovesick Blues” went viral.

The yodeling 11-year-old was soon remixed by DJs, and this week, got an invitation to appear on Ellen. Mason explained why he performed at Walmart (“Because that’s the only store we’ve got!), and talked about how his grandpa got him in to yodeling.

Mason said that his dream is to go to college and then become a famous country singer.

After giving another great performance of the song, Ellen told Mason that his dream of performing at the Grand Ole Opry would be coming true: She’d arranged for him to play at the Grand Ole Opry, then a massive concert at Walmart. She then gave him a $15,000 college scholarship.

Grab the tissues, watch and enjoy.
